Bearhouse Honeycomb - Double Knit Alpaca Wool (huacaya/suri blend)

Incredibly fine and lustrous, alpaca fibre is as soft as cashmere and lighter than sheep's wool. It was once reserved for ancient Incan royalty and is still referred to as the 'Fibre of the Gods.' Knitting with our alpaca wool will produce a luxury garment that is lightweight to wear, keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.

Alpaca wool is hypo-allergenic so doesn't itch and is suitable for most allergy sufferers.

These 50 gm balls (approx 110m - 119 yards), were spun by The Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall from a blend of Bearhouse huacaya and suri Alpaca fibre. The suri content gives it extra silkiness!
